To put into perspective on what Immanuel Kant was saying would be for instance, “I will not stab my neighbor for stealing money because I will feel remorse and awful for doing an act like that.” His theories are saying that you won’t commit an act because you will feel mentally bad about it rather than just because you know it is wrong or illegal. Kant has a ton of written work with his brilliant ideas and theories that are practiced and used around the world. Immanuel Kant’s thoughts and work was said to resemble that of Aristotle. Aristotle was born in 384 B.C. in an ancient Greek city called Stagira. His father was a physician who had been widely known names Nicomachus. In short, people do thinks for their emotional benefits rather than not doing things based off the consequences that will be the outcome. Kant was more specific to thought and feelings within humans while Aristotle’s thoughts were broader to every person and thing and how they work together for their own grater good. Both philosophers theories and ideas are that of those we use to base decisions off of in our every day lives. With Kant’s ideas of we do this and not that because we don’t want to feel remorse and Aristotle’s ideas of we do things for our ultimate happiness go hand in hand
