Though the law proscribe sets of rights and liberty to individual, it also sets boundaries and limits to what extent an individual may exercise it right. After listening to debate between Mr. Barnes who supposedly murdered his girlfriend in cold blood, then ran to the priest for forgiveness and then to his lawyer and confessed to the crime. In the course of his conversation with his lawyer, he also confessed to had committed similar crime in the past for which he only was the evidence. In his words, he admitted that an innocent person was arrested, tried and sentenced and was about to be executed. The first thought that came to my mind was, the lawyer, having known the fact and that an innocent person is about to be executed for a crime that was committed by another individual, and having the real culprit in front of him, decides not to hand him over to the authority right away, but rather advised him not to make mention of it to the police.I have witnessed a few situation with similar event where people who had committed a felony were acquitted of their crimes just because the prosecutor didn't present enough evidence to tie the accuser to the
