The dilemma is that Paul was informed by his coach that some changes were going to be made and he could possibly lose his starting position on the field. A friend of Paul has offered him the opportunity to experiment with the drug so he could still retain his starting position. Paul’s ethical dilemma is to whether or not to take the PED’s. One of the primary implications for him to consider is the short term versus long term effects of using this drug. He must also ask himself if the risk is important enough to maintain his starting position and potentially cause permanent damage to his health.
