ETHICAL UNDERSTANDING:
Ethical understanding mainly involves being able to acknowledge ethical values, characteristics and concepts that are apparent throughout different communities. Ethical understanding helps to further personal attributes and values, as well as to give people the tools to deal with conflict by helping them to be aware of other views and opinions. Furthermore, as the World evolves, people, especially students, are being exposed to global issues and different cultures, meaning that an ethical understanding will help them to reason with different values, rights and interests that they will come across in the future, as well as reflect on their own actions and consequences. To use numeracy well enable communication to a vast range of audiences through the use of globally spoken symbols, graphs and tables. As well as this, interpretation of these is necessary and being able to apply these skills to daily life, such as when calculating a salary or general problem. This is important because numeracy is used in many every-day activities and in many different careers. In my school life, I use numeracy during mathematics class, and during science when conducting experiments and writing up the corresponding practical reports. In the future I will use numeracy at work when analysing my salary and possibly workforce projections or reports. In society as a whole, the capability of numeracy is used when shopping as we calculate the price of items and also at bus …show more content…
Creative and critical thinking encourages resourcefulness, good reasoning, imagination and innovation. This thinking is fundamental for students of the twenty-first century who want to be successful and learn effectively. This is done through being capable of solving problems logically and making them motivated and confident in their aspirations. Critical and creative thinking is used in many areas of school life, like in fashion when I design and create garments using my imagination. Also, when faced with social challenges I have to be critical and creative in knowing how I should go about resolving the situation. In my future beyond school, this thinking is necessary if I am to learn successfully in a workplace. For example, I may need to use critical thinking when a customer has a complaint that needs to be addressed. In society in general, critical and creative thinking is used to solve global problems like poverty because we have to come up with sustainable ideas and practices to help improve living
