Case Study Of Bill Young's Ethical Dilemma

Throughout the case, Bill Young is in between a ethical dilemma concerning his old job. Mr. Young came into the visualization of the unethical performance after cleaning his office after quitting in Rogers & Autry. Later he would visualize that the audit client would be involved in the illegal act of conducted the marketing and supply of infant milk being contaminated. Aside from this fraud, the government would be paid with bribes to stay quiet concerning the milk that would harm millions of babies in the Asian region. If I were Bill’s best friend and he would approach me to give him advice concerning the ethical dilemma, I would indeed be great help tp him. Plan B if the upper management doesn’t want to pursuit with the issue, Bill would be better off to approaching the higher level of management or even the authorities before the fraud goes to worse situations. Even though that Bill has resigned from working at the Certified Public Accountant(CPA) firm, it is still ethical to report the issues and not to keep it inside himself. That would just cause major problems for Bill himself, and the firm overall. The faster that Bill reports the fraudulent issue, the quicker it will have straightened out the ethical performances throughout the firm and its problems. I will remind Bill that the best choice to commit will be to go to the authorities and provide the lethal information that will provide evidence about the ethical dilemma going on so it can get fixed. The client’s unethical decisions will be interrogated by the authorities if the dilemma is taken into the hand of them by Bill at the end. I will also reinstate the facts of not staying silent about the whole issues concerning the fraud in this case. Remaining silent will only bring the unethical considerations about the authorities once the investigation occurs. It is best to alert the authorities right away so they can act into the case. The management of the firm won’t be much help to be alerted since they have somewhat fault and intentions of committing the fraud relating to the infant contaminated milk going to the Chinese community. At the end, my advice from the very beginning towards Bill as his best friend was to put ethical sense into him so he can report the issues right away and keep the issues from growing into more fraud which would result in total disaster for everyone including many consequences for Bill
