Typically, I am a person who tends to approach situations and circumstances as they arise, however, by that time I am being reactive versus proactive. Whereas, good leader always will have a plan and even alternate plans should a problem occur. All the more, an ethical leader is providing guidance for the staff of how to handle issues and how to apply ethics for resolution. Secondly, a leader being transparent reassures trust and ensures all stakeholders that everything is satisfactory (Ferrell, Fraedrich & Ferrell, 2013 p. 144). Most notably, when a catastrophic issue occurs the first thing that comes to mind is to just fix the situation quickly and quietly. However, in learning this is not always the best solution in consideration for all stakeholders. To build upon these skills I know that as a leader I should be willing to be open and honest, no matter how big or small the issue, and do everything I can to rectify the problem and restore confidence that all stakeholders have. The element that I can improve on my skills correlates with the previous element, in that I have to consistently work to be in tuned to what is going on within my organization and be ready to accommodate with new strategies (Ferrell, Fraedrich & Ferrell,
