Briefing
One ethical consideration that is associated with my health promotion is briefing. Briefing is where the researchers disclose the reason why the research is being conducted before the participants take part. In the case of our health promotion we maintained this ethical consideration as we informed the participants on what the topic of the health promotion was going to be on, this allowed them to understand what was going to happen and if they didn’t want to participate in this then they could leave. Furthermore we also asked participants if they could fill out a questionnaire and informed them of the reason why it was being used. We let the participants know that we would also be asking them to fill out an after questionnaires, which would allow us to use it to check whether the participants had learnt anything from the health promotion as we would compare them to the before questionnaires to see if there were any improvements, which would be an indicator of whether or not our health promotion …show more content…
Confidentiality is where all the information obtained throughout the research is not available to others so that the participant’s responses are safe. My group maintained this ethical consideration, since we did not ask the participants to write their name on the questionnaires as that would ensure that all information provided by the participants was anonymous and would not be seen by anyone other than the people delivering the health promotion. Furthermore, the answers of participants were not read out during the health promotion therefore ensuring that confidentiality was maintained. Alongside this we also informed the participants that any information they shared with the group would be kept private and not be shared with anyone outside of my group that delivered the health
