Ethical Issues In Grey's Anatomy On Netflix

Improved Essays
Ethics is the systematical recommendation, we subconsciously make; whether we as college students want to study for an exam or if we would rather re-watch an entire season of Grey’s Anatomy on Netflix. We don’t make these decisions because we have to; we make them because they are needed. Making ethical decisions has turned into contemplating how to make a difficult situation beneficial for the masses to benefit from. From reading this case I have come to the conclusion that the ethical answer to this situation would be to not publish this book without the signed and written consent from the author. This would not only guarantee that the author knew the whereabouts of her story, but also confirm that her attorney Ms. Tonja Carter was not manipulating her. The ethical issue in this case seems to be evident. However, I can interpret that there is more than just what I can see on the surface. I also noticed that from this information I cannot confirm the mental status of Ms. Lee and it would prove beneficial to understand if in situations like these in Ms. Carter even has the authority to speak on behalf of Ms. Lee. From the information provided I can also interpret that if this deal were to be finalized Ms. Carter could potentially be benefiting

You have chosen an interesting topic and to be honest, I never thought of it as an ethical issue, but you did make a pretty good point. When it comes to writing, the only time I thought of ethics is when we had Soldier’s writing intelligence reports on information that they did not collect, also known as “ghostwriting”. However, until I read your post, I didn’t really consider the analyst’s target audience and since we have analysts across all echelons, I would’ve assumed that they need…

Moreover, the Golden Rule requires sincerity and is considered one of the most concise and general principles of ethics. Thus, Putnam concluded, the Golden Rule serves as a moral steppingstone that moves others toward good ethical practices.…
