The caseworker arrived at the residence and Ms. Stephens was upstairs with Kayden. I introduced myself, permission was granted to interview her, and she was provided a copy of a parent’s guide to an investigation. She said yes, she had some suicidal issues in the past and have openly and honestly talk to her husband and everyone about it asking for help. She said Michael used that against her later on and she has never acted on her thoughts. She said she had the thoughts, got some help, and got out of a bad situation. She said she left her husband and she no longer has those thoughts. She said whenever she left him, her husband tried to tell her family that she overdosed on albuterol, liquid medicine for a breathing machine. She said Michael …show more content…

She said she lives at home with her two children Braelynn 06/26/2009, Kayden 03/05/2015, dad Eric Willis 07/09/1965, and step mother Rosanne Willis 04/09/1958. She said she has a half-brother, Eric Willis 09/05/1996 that goes to college and visits home sometimes. She said she is legally married, August 2008, and her maiden name is Willis. She said she has plans to file a divorce, has been talking to legal aid and waiting for a time frame because she does not have money to file on her own. She said she feels she cannot put the kids in school because he would do something to them. She said she home schools her children using the Time 4 Learning Program. She said her children’s father name is Michael Stephens, birthday 09/16/1988, lives in Azel, TX, and his number is 3257214241. She said her children are not Native American and does not belong to an Indian Tribe. She said she is responsible for her children’s care and their dad is supposed to pay child support but does not pay it. She said for discipline, she has been doing timeout, sends them to their room, and tries to stop yelling. She said she has experience verbal and mental abuse from Michael. She said she last experience drugs in November trying to fix her relationship. She said Michael would encourage her to try marijuana and her children were in the other room.
