Ethical Issues In Congress

This week our congress and senate went back to work, but there is little hope that much will be accomplished from this approximately month long session. As usual our country is facing many issues from zika to gun control to clinton’s controversies. There is no shortage of action needed by congress. According to Tom Frieden, "Basically, we're out of money, and we need Congress to act to allow us to respond effectively." All politics aside our citizens health is at risk, and our lawmakers need to take action to aid in the protection from this virus. In addition to the zika virus, gun laws have been at the forefront of the american mind since sandy hook. These are not the only issues facing our country,there are also some issues facing the current front runner of the presidential election. Hillary Clinton is facing scrutiny for her use of her private email server to conduct official business, “ Republicans were unsatisfied with his responses, and two committee chairmen laid out a case last month for charging Clinton with perjury for her testimony about the emails.” Seeing that these are only a few off the nation’s pressing issues, it is clear we have a lot to get done.
