What is Ethics? I believe ethics is a fundamental concept that an individual or community lives by, a view of morals that can be either good or bad. The study of Ethics is presented throughout history being enforced in ancient Greece society-also in ancient China. Even though tons of books have been written with so many different perspectives, we still seem to have huge Ethical problems in both personal and professional aspects of today's society. What created an deeper investigation into the airline and the Port Authority was a lane closure on the George Washington Bridge that connects New York City and New Jersey. This was an action made by, the govern of the state of New Jersey, Chris Christie and caused a huge federal investigation within the 3 parties. Later in the investigation the relationship between United Airline CEO Jeff Smisek and the Port Authority uncovered an ethical issue where the airline was had multiple flights from Newark to Columbia, South Carolina. Those fights weren’t the reason on why the company and Port Authority choices were unethical those fights were not bringing any additional income to the airline, it only existed to satisfy the chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. So he can get a free ride to his vacation home in South Carolina. In return Untied Airlines would receive a renewal of the lease that was ending soon, also a very beneficial rail extension that will take customer to their airline terminal from other terminals. Some can argue that want the CEO of United Airline did was all for the wellness of the customers and to increase income, but others like myself completely disagree. United Airlines should've never tried to take advantage of people in power by giving them free things, because if that was right then they should do a mirror test and wonder if a customer took advantage of them just to get free things, will it be ok? And yes is clearly not the
