The chosen peer-reviewed journal is Journal of Clinical Nursing (JCN). There are ten author guidelines required for the submission process. These guidelines are general, English language, ethical guidelines, copyright, submission of manuscripts, manuscript types accepted, manuscript format and structure, after acceptance, online open, and appeals. General guidelines require papers that develop and promote knowledge which is relevant to all areas of clinical practice in nursing around the world. Papers must demonstrate clinical practice and international relevance, and make an important and new contribution to the field. All studies should include an explicit statement in the Methods section identifying the review and ethics committee approval for each study, if applicable. They are the original article, review articles and discursive papers. Original articles should be doubled spaced and less than eight thousand words with a 2cm margins on each side. The paper should be divided into introduction, background, methods, results, discussion, conclusion and relevance to clinical practice. Pilot studies are not acceptable. There should be no more than eighty references with all being in the English language. Review articles can either be on a qualitative or quantitative research relevant to clinical nursing. Eight thousand words are the limit for this type of article. Quotes are included in the overall word count. Methodology must be explained clearly. The main text should include introduction, Aims, methods, results, discussion, conclusion and relevance to clinical practice. References are limited to fifty.
