One of the biggest types of questions we see into today’s society is an ethical dilemma. An ethical dilemma is a problem that involves making a decision that is between a strongly felt subject, or moral. For example, the subject that this paper is mainly focused on is if there should or should not be a “fat tax”. This subject is an example of ethical dilemma that does not have a wrong or right answer, it is just based on a moral decision. It is a dilemma that must be analyzed because there is such a mass increase in the world’s obesity rates. The main question that is being asked is should we fat tax junk food to decrease the amount of obesity and create a healthier society? It needs to be analyzed in every aspect to see the pros and cons of this ethical dilemma. Society must analyze this dilemma because it vastly effects multiple parts of the world we live in. With a fat tax, they add the tax on cheap, non-nutritional food. Therefore, that effect the low-income society which most people of that group live off that type of food because it fits within their budget. I also effect the government and taxes over all. There is potential for making the US a healthier society, but there is also a risk on the economy and the wellbeing of citizens as well. However, the main questions that I find most important to review are the rights and fairness. Rights are the first thing we preach as US citizens when something doesn’t go our way. We have to take into consideration the types of rights that could be pushed aside by adding a fat tax, whether it would be legal or even social rights. People could begin to feel controlled or people could be perfectly okay with the entire situations. Rights are very important to most people and alter a lot in people’s lives. Therefore, I believe this is a very important question to
