In thinking about fairness and the equal treatment for all students’ one leadership ethical perspective that should be included at every school is Altruism. Altruism is based on the principle that that we should help or assist people regardless of any beneficial gain for the assisting person. Working in education should be rewarding for helping others to learn and become educated individuals. One principle of Confucianism is based on good virtue, or the trust and concerns of others. Confucianism should be the prime directive when dealing with athletes and recruiting tactics. Leaders of higher educational institutions have an ethical obligation to make sure that students are recruited without being misled in any way. Could this leadership ethical perspective be implemented in all colleges that recruit athletes? It can and it should be to make sure each athlete is recruited in the same manner and not to be given false information or bribe
