For long the issue of living wages has been being debated. It has been discussed time and again that if paying minimum wages to the hardworking workers is ethical. Research shows that minimum wage barely provides enough to support a family. This amounts to economic injustice.
The income inequality in the American society has kept growing over years. Most of the wealth has accumulated in the hands of the upper 10 percent. It means while the rich are getting richer, The poor are getting poorer. So, overall economic investment in the low income workers is low.
