Ethical Autobiography
In life everyone has a moral compass, this compass is formed by events in the formative years of my life. Some of these events encompass being raised in a christian home. Throughout the years I have been raised to believe sex before marriage is a sin, being present at a party is wrong, and drinking before twenty-one is illegal. In my essay I will be sharing my participation in each one of these topics and how I have learned a lesson from these experiences.
My parents have always expected my sister and I to attend church. The same church they attended while growing up when they were kids. With my mother, Shelly, being the secretary of our church and my father, Justin, being a deacon of our church we have always attended. …show more content…
I would message him everyday trying to get him back. Nothing I said could convince him that he was everything I wanted. I asked to see him so we could talk about an act I regretted but the answer was always no. Two weeks later I was informed about a party he was attending and I had all intentions of going just to see him. I told my parents I was staying the night at a friends house. My friend and I decided to sneak out of her house and have some of our friends who could drive come and pick us up. I informed my sister of what I was doing incase something horrible had happened to me. Around 10:30 p.m. she called my aunt and had her come pick her up so she could come find me. The mom of my friend had heard where we were going as well and was on her way to find us as well. We made it to the party and to my surprise Brenton was not there. All of that hassle of getting caught by my parents, being pulled over and questioned by police, and being in a wreck because of a drunk driver all could have occurred that night and some did. My aunt showed up to the party and caught me, we were stopped in a check point, and I faced consequences from my parents. I did learn my lesson but only for a short
