This approach requires building the team for success whether the team is existing or just being creating. As the transformational leader, the motivation of the team must be to both motivate the individual and the team toward a common goal. While each employee may have different motivational factors, each will have to be determined to develop appropriate influence as the leader (Zaccaro, Rittman, & Marks, 2002; Leadership Styles, 2015). Moreover, with today’s ever changing priorities, the team must be capable of being flexible and adaptive in behaviors and actions to accomplish the needed goals of the organization. As the leader, personal display of ethical and moral standards must not only be evident in written policy but, be visual in everyday actions. This display, along with a certain amount of innovation and creative leeway should be explicitly acknowledged when goals and expectations are initially assessed by each team member (Judge & Piccolo, 2004). Additionally, the transformational leader must be capable of showing the team members humbleness while inspiring them to employ all of their efforts toward the team goals.
