Ethan sat at the back row listening to a newcomer speak of their past and their troubles with drugs. It had been two years since his last encounter with heroin but these meetings were still needed. Ethan felt as though they saved his life — he didn't know how many times he might have fallen off the wagon if not for these people and this meeting, and so he kept coming. Sometimes he would walk to the front and speak while other times, he would simply sit in the back row and listen to the other speakers. There were a ton of people, like himself, that were going through the same issue.
