Seeing how she put her dream above all else inspires me to do the same. Becoming a mother did not slow her down from climbing up the ladder of success, nor did her job make her lesser of a mother. She even divorced her husband because she was so devoted to her focus. This could be seen as a negative aspect, but I find that because she was willing to go to such length truly proves how strong and independant she was. She defied the boundaries in which women of that day were placed in and put herself out there, by going door to door and letting her name be known. As an aspiring businesswomen there are many things to learn from estee lauder. She was not perfect, she was far from it, but she was a successful woman who knew what she wanted and how to get there, which is what I aspire to be.
Successful women work twice as hard to get to where they are. THey are not seen as professional or as intellectual as men. Estee Lauder took that stereotype and buried it in the ground.
