Through a balance of cash producing activities, investment in fleet modernization and route development, they aim to produce sustained growth. The company was incorporated on March 25, 1974 as Solar Shipping Lines, Inc. However, on October 16, 1974, the company decided to change its corporate name to TRANS-ASIA SHIPPING LINES, INC. with Julian G. Sy Sr. as its President and Chairman of the Board of Directors. The company was then a key in the development of trade between Cebu and Cagayan and Cebu and Butuan. They haven't stopped since. Forwarding
Trans Asia delivers to all inland points in the islands of Cebu, Masbate, Panay, Bohol, Northern Leyte and Samar. It uses Cagayan de Oro, Ozamis, Iloilo and Zamboanga as hubs for deliveries to inland points in these respective regions. These multi-modal services afford Trans-Asia's customers a convenient, extensive and flexible timetable for the delivery of their cargo.

Chartering
M/V Asia Pacific M/V Asia Pacific, a purely cargo ship of Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, Inc. is available for charter to any point in the Philippines. The vessel is adaptable to carry different types of cargo including containers of various types and sizes, roll on roll off cargoes, and break bulk among others.
Vessel, being a light draft vessel, is ideal to serve missionary routes and shallow water ports. Equipped with bow thrusters, the vessel is highly maneuverable.
Discharging and loading operations may be done through its rear cargo ramp and by its working derrick employing at least two gangs.
