Essay Writing: The Monkey's Paw

As Mr. White grabs the monkey's paw and holds it in his right hand. His hand shakes wildly with fear and anxiety. His hand falls to the ground dropping the monkey's paw. It is too late, Mrs. White is already opening the door. All he can think to himself is what will be behind the door? Who will it be? What will it look like?
As he approaches from a far trying to keep his distance he sees the door wide open and standing on the other side is Herbert, bloody, gross, covered in dirt. He is full of anger towards his father but kindly greets his sweet mother.
As soon as Mrs. White see her son she screams out, “Oh Herbert, oh my dear boy Herbert, your back, alive!”
As she swarms him with questions she embraces her beloved son in a warm hug. As

White stairs at Herbert, Herbert stares at Mr. White. Both blaming each other for the horrible events prier.
Who is really to blame ? Who is at fault?
As Mr. White moves away from his wife, Herbert moves closer and closer to the kitchen. Mr. White doesn’t know what he is planning to do. The boy who he loved and who loved him is unpredictable and angry.
As Herbert nears the kitchen knives Mr. White backs away. Taking one step after another, his heart beating hard in his chest and his head pounding full of thoughts that can't get out. As he takes another step back he trips over the monkey's paw. Now he is on the floor and Herbert is a couple feet away with a kitchen knife in his hand. Mr. White slowly scoots away scrambling on the floor trying to find the monkey's paw that he fell on. When he finds it he tightly embraces it in his right hand trying to hide it from herbert.
Mr. White still has one wish. What will he wish for? Mr. Whites hands are shaking his head is aching. This is the hardest decision of his life. Memories float through his head as he decides what to wish.
As Herbet gets in the position to stab Mr. White his life flashes before his eyes. Herbert remembers all of the good times that he and his dad ever had. The good times he had with his family and friends. All of the laughs and
