To know that we were all in the same class having goals to continue our education and to see that they weren’t persistent and determine to do what it takes to fulfil their dreams. It made me realize that achieving my goals, to go to college and finishing college was more than just saying words. I had to do my class work, be at class and turn in my work when they were due, so that I could get good grades. It even required me to get help in areas of my work where I was weak at out of class on my own time, to better improved myself. Because I didn’t want to be the same illiterate person that I was for the rest of my life. To be around my family at times and we are having a conversation and they start using word that I don’t know, was also one of my motivation to stay in college. Everyday I wanted to grasp as much as could, I would ask alot of question because I had so much to learn in so little

What motivated me to become a GCU student was my mother, she pushed me to enroll into online schooling I did not plane on attending college until 2018. After high school, I wanted to join the work force for a year then further my education later in life but my mother had better plans for me and I’m very thankful for her pushing me to start school. Furthermore, I find motivation very important when it comes to a student being successful, yes, a student can push and motivate themselves, never the less, self-motivation is very important, however, everyone needs an extra push students lack self-confidence when they do not have anyone by their side giving them motivation everyone needs. Motivation is the desire that makes people want to succeed…

It was the impact my kindergarten teacher had on me. As a 6 year old kindergartner, I was scared to death to leave the nest essentially "going out into the world. " Everyone was taller, older, and more mature than I was walking into that school, but thanks to my kindergarten teacher, that didn't seem to be near as big of a factor. Walking into the classroom, I knew how to read, how to tie my shoes, and all of my ABC's, but that didn't make it any less frightening. It was really that whole year that had such a tremendous impact on me and was actually the foundation that made me want to become a teacher.…

Motivation can best be defined as “all the processes that initiate, direct, and sustain behavior” (Wood, Wood, Boyd 2014). When it comes to what motivates me to attend school, all factors point toward becoming a Registered Dental Hygienist. For as long as I can remember, this has always been my dream. When I was in college at the University of Arkansas, I took all of the pre-requisite classes that I needed in order to get into the Dental Hygiene program in Arkansas.…

I want to continue my education in a Christian academic community because of the social hardships that I faced in high school. I firmly believe that when people live with Christ they have a Jesus vibe that makes forming deeper bonds more meaningful. In high school, I have made good friends; however, they aren't believers which makes navigating the perils of high school more difficult because the way I choose to live is significantly different than their way of pursuing life. Whether it was a band event, football game, group project, or just hanging out, I felt like the odd duck out because I didn't share a deeper connection with these people. While the priority of school is education, the social aspect is still important because it promotes mental and…
