Helping Others
Everyone around the world have many different opinions. Everyone thinks differently than others, which means we all have different ways of viewing life. Some people believe the most important characteristic that one should have in life is love, kindness or even honesty. Since I view the world differently I believe being kind is the most important trait one could have in life. Many people today help others. Whether they help old or young people with something big or small they always have that huge space in their heart to help others. Most of them help because they believe if they help others they’ll get something in return. For example, some people may get money, others believe they’ll get help back when they need it, it also

Yes, I know who wouldn’t want money? Truth is 99.99% of the population wants money. I’m not saying don’t accept the money I’m trying to say don’t do it because you’ll get money in return. You don’t know where that money is coming from what if it’s the last of his/her lunch money. This person now has nothing to eat. What do you get with the money anyway? You’ll just tell other people about it and waste it on something else. You won’t have that great feeling on the inside which wont hurt anyone it’ll just help yours and someone else’s day go better. You just want to say today was a great day and can get home nice and relaxed. You don’t want to have your day go so stressful and …show more content…
Yes, its always wonderful to get help from others as well but again why do something you’ll get in return. Do you want to be that person that’s helpful just to say I’m doing it so I should receive the same back when I need it? The truth is, most of the time when you need help that another person might not even be there for you. We can’t depend on other people to help us just because we did. Also, think about how the other person would feel he/she might help you not because they want to but because they feel obligated to and most of the time you won’t get the same type of care you had for them back. You would have been better off doing whatever you needed help with on your own
One of the top reasons why others help is because it would be great for their reputation. They’ll be known as a very great person who helps a lot. You don’t want that reputation to define you because if all your looking for is to take advantage of being helpful, everyone will go to you for help. Once this happens you’ll feel like this is a job that you do for free. To not have to feel that way, you’ll have to do it because of that feeling on the inside that makes you feel great about yourself. This feeling won’t let you feel stressed about helping each time because of what reputation you gained by helping

Ayn Rand Essay In the book, Anthem by Ayn Rand, It informs the reader about a far future where the world has entered a dark place and individuality no longer exists, this is what Ayn Rand herself predicted the world would come to with the nation's community ideals. She would publically lay out her theory, ethical egoism, and sent it out through her books. Anthem, being one of her most well known pieces of work, builds up her belief in fulfilling one's own happiness, and people who seek and need help are “evil.”…

I’ve never been able to decline help to someone in need. The hypothesis based on the findings of Latane and Darley (1968) that as the number of participants increased, help would become less likely was somewhat supported. The results in the graph Percentage of people who helped/did not help highlighted that the bystander effect occurred as the smallest group size had the highest help rate of 100%, and the percentage of participants who helped in the group of 19 was higher than that of the group of 35, 10.5% and 2.90% respectively. However, the groups of 3 and 10 did not support the hypothesis as they had a help rate of 0. The bystander effect model developed by Lantane and Darley (1970) explains the results in the graph Percentage of people who helped/ did not help.…
