Sports, a display of athleticism, skill, and smarts all into one game. College athletes are like pro both are very special, very rare. We take these athletes for granted, especially in college. Only 2% of high school athletes go division 1, that’s an accomplishment in its self. The NCAA makes a ton of money off their athletes and they don’t get paid? That’s ridiculous and not only that, many college games such as the football national championship or March Madness gain viewers and fame on par or far greater than pro leagues such as the NFL and the NBA. College athletes should be able to earn some sort of money. The salaries should have a similar management to the NFL but a 75% decrease in money earned. The reason for the large decrease is to give some incentive to make it to the pros and obviously it’s more competitive in the pro leagues. Think of that, 1100 dollars for one semester just in materials (with or without full paid ride). The NFL rules state that to enter the NFL, the athlete needs at least 3 years absent 3 years graduated from high school. Since the odds of getting into the NFL are higher playing Division 1 athletes need to pay for at least 3 semesters. Even with a scholarship, paying for university means that athletes need to pay at least 6600$ and that’s if the athlete doesn’t enter their senior year. According to my college guide, the average dorm costs about 9000$.The same analysis of the first piece of evidence can be applied to this piece of evidence.
