On Christmas of 2015, I stayed in a hospital for the first time, which I find fascinating even after going through anesthesia. To prevent future health problems, I had my jaw bone cut and shaved. I do not remember sleeping over five hours, but I can clearly remember the painful three-day stay. Three consecutive days of incapable of walking, feeding myself, or even talking led me to wonder how many patient next doors, who may have been staying longer than me, have the strong will to withstand such adversity?
Betting they would dream of magic pills that can instantly cure anything, I empathized their feelings. If only I can create such dream to reality, perhaps thousands of lives would not have to suffer through surgeries. The risks of surgical procedure would not even be available for patients to consider.
