Essay: One Of The Best NBA Player Of All Time

Improved Essays
A lot of controversy surrounds the discussion of “the best NBA player of all time.” Most people will agree on Michael Jordan for his plethora of championships, MVPs, records, and much more. We are talking better than Jordan’s best season, Magic’s best season, Kareem’s best season, everyone and anyone's best season and he's doing it his way. Steph is averaging 30.7 points a game, which is 7 points better than last season. Steph is leading the Warriors to be on pace to become the best team in NBA history. That is not human. Steph is shooting 67% on shots 28+ feet, which is 6 feet past the three point line. That is not human. This past Saturday, Steph broke four NBA records in one game. That is not human. In that game, he twisted his ankle so gruesomely, came back into the game, and scored 31 of his 46 points. That is not human. He broke the previous NBA record for three pointers in a season, which he held (obviously), with 24 games still to play. That is absolutely 100% not human. He was guaranteed the MVP award with 50 games left in the season. Steph is playing at an absurd level, and I think another championship and MVP are coming his

Some of Basketball’s best shooters played in the 1970’s and 1980’s. One of those men was Larry Bird. Larry Bird was born in the small town of French Lick in Southern Indiana where his incredible basketball career began at Spring Valley High School. Shaquille O’Neal will go down as one of the most influential basketball players of all time. Many people view Shaq as a great player on the court, and a comedian off of it, but do not know about O’Neal’s tough childhood. Luckily, Shaq had two loving parents including a father who pushed him to do his best at everything he did. With hard work and dedication, Shaq was able to earn a college scholarship, and become the first overall pick in the 1992 NBA draft. While I read Shaq Uncut by Shaquille O’Neal with Jackie Macmullan, I was able to make connections to Shaq’s life on the basketball court, evaluate his father’s way he treated Shaquille, and question as to why Shaq became so good at the sport of basketball.…

Michael Jordan and Lebron James, two of the best basketball players ever to play the game. Both have had careers that every basketball player looks up to and works so hard to be like these two, but the question is, who is the best? People like to base it off of how many championships each has won therefore Michael is better; however, there is a lot more than just championships. Stats, Years Played, MVP’s, a lot can go into this argument but in my opinion, Lebron is the G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time).…

The Golden State Warriors are really, really good at basketball. After taking the league by storm last season en route to an NBA Championship, the Warriors have begun their title defense by completely rewriting the record books. Stephen Curry has become a one-man glitch in the Matrix, but that's not all the Dubs have to offer. Under Steve Kerr and his coaching staff, including current interim head coach Luke Walton, the Warriors have used their ridiculous assemblage of talent to steamroll the rest of the league. In the process, they've helped to redefine how basketball is played in the NBA.…
