Essay: One Of The Best NBA Player Of All Time

Improved Essays
A lot of controversy surrounds the discussion of “the best NBA player of all time.” Most people will agree on Michael Jordan for his plethora of championships, MVPs, records, and much more. My prediction is that LeBron James will surpass MJ as the best ever, but that's a different story. This weekly paper is focused on the best shooter in the NBA (of all time), how he got there, and why he’s so good. Here is why Wardell Stephen (Steph) Curry II is so freaking good:
Growing up with his Dad being a professional basketball player in Charlotte had an immediate impact on Steph’s interest of basketball. At a young age, just like his Dad, Steph Curry could shoot the ball damn well, especially from long- range. Stephs only two problems were his size, and the fundamentals in which he shot the ball. When you’re younger, you need to shoot from your hip to get more lift on the ball. Steph shot from his hip, and despite shooting well from there, he needed to

We are talking better than Jordan’s best season, Magic’s best season, Kareem’s best season, everyone and anyone's best season and he's doing it his way. Steph is averaging 30.7 points a game, which is 7 points better than last season. Steph is leading the Warriors to be on pace to become the best team in NBA history. That is not human. Steph is shooting 67% on shots 28+ feet, which is 6 feet past the three point line. That is not human. This past Saturday, Steph broke four NBA records in one game. That is not human. In that game, he twisted his ankle so gruesomely, came back into the game, and scored 31 of his 46 points. That is not human. He broke the previous NBA record for three pointers in a season, which he held (obviously), with 24 games still to play. That is absolutely 100% not human. He was guaranteed the MVP award with 50 games left in the season. Steph is playing at an absurd level, and I think another championship and MVP are coming his

Although Stephen Curry has clearly proven to be great, Russell is still far superior in his athleticism, finishing, and defense. In my perspective, I consider Westbrook to be the best point guard in the NBA. What really makes this fearless point guard stand out the most is his monstrous athleticism. He only stands at a staggering 6’3, yet he is capable of jumping over 37.5 inches in the air. This allows him to use his quickness and hops to maneuver around his defenders to get anywhere on the court.…
