Years ago, I was on a softball team for about four consecutive years. On this team I noticed a pattern with the coaching. Every coach I had, had a daughter on their team. I was not necessarily the best player, but myself and the other players realized that something was not right. It seemed coincidental that all the best players were the coaches daughters. Compared to the other players, they got the most playing time, best positions, and most praise. Along with the other athletes, the parents started to notice also. Some started to ask questions and wonder why their child was always on the bench. After parents talking to the coaches, nothing happened after that. They were determined to have all the kids play equally because they were all part of the same team. After, once again, speaking with the coaches, the lineups were changed to everyone's liking.
