In addition, there are different stages of development of communities. First there are pseudocommunties, in which members are loosely affiliated but don’t yet know each other well enough to work toward a common goal. Then, once the different members realize their differences in opinion, backgrounds and perspectives, there is chaos because everyone wants to voice their own. However, quickly, members realize that all of those are simply barriers to understanding each other and working together so a more formalized way of communication is developed. Finally, an authentic community is established when efficient communication allows members to perform the task described above of community and to work for a common goal. The factors affecting the attitudes and norms of groups are its purpose, its structure and its time period to achieve its purpose and limits of time..
