The Powhatan stopped giving the English food because of what the English were doing. They stopped the food supply for the English settlers because it was like they were just taking advantage of them. The English settlers also never helped the Powhatan gather food. The evidence for this could be found in, “Modern Version of Exports of Accounts from the Early Years.” This shows that the English described the Powhatan, “stupid” for not giving them food. Clearly, the English settlers started to get mad at the Powhatan for not giving them food anymore. From their actions it makes it obvious that they were mad at the Powhatan. Also the way they were describing the Powhatan proves that they were mad at them. The things happening between the Jamestown settlers and the Powhatan Indians are still happening in the current time period, people still argue about what land they will own and some people try to put boundaries between each other’s lands, they enslave other people to do things for them without pay, and they also be cruel and starve other people for revenge of something or just for the fun of it.
