In order to deal with these learning inhibitors, I would sit down with each person involved in a situation rather than simply hearing one side. With bullying, I would work with residence on how to be proactive and how not to react negatively. Peer pressure has been a pressing issue most likely since before residence halls existed, but to address this on my floor I would make sure that during room assignments, I would research each student to find out who they would be the least likely to peer pressure within range of their room; this may sound like a lofty goal, but we were able to accomplish this with Next Generations and RYLA room assignments during those conferences. Academic stress would be confronted by offering students with resources such as study nights in the lounge or one night per semester ‘walk in tutor by RA’ hours similar to how the ARC has walk in writing most of the week after
