Not allowing students to carry guns also to provide students the safety they need. Either way students would be ensured some kind of safety. Another sense of security can be reached by having a gate where you must have a parking sticker to enter the campuses. By doing this students know that the only people allowed in the school are those that attend the class and the teachers and staff. Also another simple solution is having on campus security. A way to prevent this is by having only staff carry guns. By doing this you can still have guns on campus for protection of students and staff, and you do not have to worry about having guns in the hands of immature college students. Another way this problem can be solved is if the school does allow concealed handguns to have the students show their CHL, concealed handgun license, to security each time they enter campus and have each and every student go through security. This may be expensive but there could potentially be shootings and loss of lives. You cannot put a price on the security of students and staff. Perhaps if Virginia Tech knew these options they would not have experienced the tragedy that we know about
