Nothing compared to professional athletes, of course, but a few changes to the rules could be beneficial. If an athlete has put the time in, most of the time the athlete will do well in competition. This is nice because it gives the athlete a mental "high" and brings a great feeling of accomplishment. College athletics is for the enjoyment of spectators, but more importantly for the athlete to be able to receive a college education. You hit that point really well. All I suggest is that a few small changes be made to put a little more money in our bank accounts to help make up for the lack of coverage of the scholarship. I do not think that college athletes should make million dollar contracts with colleges like professionals, but if we were allowed to increase our income through our hard work so that we could live comfortably enough to not have that as a stressor, it would help
