The Western Lowland Gorilla are native to central Africa and usually inhabits lowland swamps, mountainous forest, ancient woodlands, and second growth forest. They are warm blooded animals and are members of Chordata, Mammalia, Primates, and Hominidae. They are also members of the Gorilla geneus and Ggorilla species.
