Visual Learners
Learning is the knowledge and skills we gain through experiences, and being taught the materials. Learning is important in our lives. If we did not have the ability to learn, we would not know anything we know today, not remember our past experiences. We learn how to talk, eat, walk, write, drive, etc. We all learn in different ways. Visual, Auditory, and kinesthetic are three of the main different ways of learning. A visual learner needs to see things to know. An auditory learner prefers to get information by listening, needs to hear it or speak it to know it. A Kinesthetic learner learns better when physical activity is involve, prefers hands-on learning. I have taken a few tests to determine my learning style.
My scores for my assignment on education planner came out to be that I am forty percent visual, thirty five percent auditory, and twenty five percent tactile. My other scores for my vark questionnaire website assessment came out to be that four out of thirty I am visual, ten out of thirty I am aural, eight out of thirty I am read/write, and the other eight out of thirty I am kinesthetic. According to The Vark learning styles questionnaire the two learning styles that I learn best with best are aural and kinesthetic. Aural means I learn best when hearing the information spoken and by asking questions about the concept I am learning. The other way I learn best is being kinesthetic which means I use my five senses and hands on experiences to help me learn. The Aural side of me likes to remember stories, examples, and jokes, to be to relate them to the concept I am learning. I have found that I when attended class and really focus on what the instructor or professor is teaching I am able to grasp the concept that is being taught.…

One is auditory where you listen carefully to instructions that are given to you. The other is visual. I study by writing things down and rewriting so I visualize what I am writing and can write it from memory. These both can be beneficial because if I write what I hear and keep writing then I am studying and am learning at the same time. I will know what it is I needed to know for a test or a paper.…

The purpose of this paper is to identify and compare the meaning as well as the differences of three learning styles as they relate to both the academic and professional realm. I have chosen these three styles because I believe the majority of people are either visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learners. Each person has his or her own way of converting, processing, storing, and retrieving information. The way we connect the information is an important part of the learning process. Learning is an individual process unique to everyone and as individuals we tend to prefer different learning methods.…

The communicator style that is a fit for me is the sensor style because I do stay on point with the message and elaborate on the goals for the organization and team. One of the traits that I possess is that I am results-driven and detailed-oriented with communication and the action that supports the message. The expectations are the same for the team and we will build the team around these and several other traits and styles. Learning is multidimensional. Very seldom will a learner use just one type of learning style. There are four different learning styles: Visual, aural, read/write, kinesthetic and multimodal. Multimodal is a combination of two or more of the learning styles. Those who are multimodal in their preferences can be more flexible about how they take in and give out information than those with a VARK profile that emphasizes a single preference.…

I was fascinated to learn about the elements in Art. I had always thought that art had no organization, guidance or system. I thought that people just painted or drew pretty much whatever they wanted with no apparent rules. The Visual Elements that Getlein mentions on chapter 4 consist of the following; line shape and mass, light, color, texture and pattern and last but not least; time and motion (Getlein, 2012). These elements are intrinsically woven in art!…
