In these cases, it is only natural that we desire to find a culprit, in order to make sense of a senseless crime. One of these crimes occurred on April 20, 1999, when two seniors, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killed 13 people, injured 24 others and committed suicide. This terrible tragedy known as the Columbine High School massacre is sadly only one of several violent acts that are considered to be tied to video games since Harris and Klebold played violent video games over the internet with individuals that seemed to have a mutual hatred for their neighborhood and the world in general. Contrary to belief, several students at Columbine High deemed Harris and Klebold as extremely unpopular students and targets of bullying. Harris and Klebold also had trouble with the law for breaking and entering and stealing, as a result in January 1998, they were charged with mischief, breaking and entering, trespassing, and theft. Taking all these points into consideration, it seems like the horrible act that they committed had more to do with their high school experiences than the actual violence that was related to the video games they were playing as well as countless other factors including the individuals they associated with and their legal encounters with the
