When Legree brought Tom to his knees and tried to destroy his pure faith to Christianity, Eva was the only salvation in Tom’s bloodied heart. Without Eva, Tom could not withstand for such a long time. This lovely angel conveyed gospel during her lifetime, and acted as the gospel in Tom’s heart after she passed away.
