Dear mom and dad my feet are starting to rot I'm in excrutiating pain im suffering down here in this trench it stinks down here and I’m home sick and the worst part is the war seems as if it is everlasting. This is my daily routine. First thing in the morning weapon cleaning, breakfast, back to fighting, morning inspection, and chore assignments. Hopefully this will all end soon and hopefully I survive and I'll get to see you again, unfortunately the odds are against me considering trench fever and trench foot, if possible please send extra boots and sock. I'm regretting my decision to join you guys were right. I’m out of time goodbye love
