Essay On The Transformation Of Romeo And Juliet

People usually don’t find there true love when there teenagers. Especially when one of them is 13 and get married in about the second day of knowing each other. The character Juliet, in the famous romantic tragedy Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare changes from the very start, Juliet starts off as a young obedient girl that’ll do anything for her parents to make them happy. Since she’s only thirteen she’s not used to doing rebelious things behind her parents back. Before Juliet lays her eyes on Romeo or even thinks about marriage she was approached by her mother before there ball that she was going to marry a person named Paris. Juliet acting like her obedient self, not wanting to argue with her mother agrees to marry Paris without even knowing who he is or what he looks like. Then in Act 1 Scene 5 is where Romeo and Juliet finally meet. As soon as they set their eyes on each other they automatically are attracted to each other. They even kiss and at this part of the story is where you see Juliet’s personality start to change rapidly. Since they both developed extremely strong feelings for one another. At this point Juliet is happy and in love but doesn't even know exactly who Romeo is. As Romeo leaves the party Juliet asks the Nurse “What’s he that follows there, that would not dance?” (1018) The nurse then finds out that “His name is Romeo, and a Montague, the only son of your great enemy.” …show more content…
Juliet blinded by love tries to convince herself that a name is meaningless and doesn’t have anything to do with the person and there personality. They then profess their love for each other but then Juliet’s starts to really think this through and if all of this is okay or not.
