Kitchen (n.d.) offered that teachers are no longer the fountain of all knowledge, not even the textbooks but rather the internet. He stated that students in today’s world have at their fingertips through the “click of few buttons on their smart phones” at their possession virtually all the time most information/knowledge. This same view was shared by Indian Express (2012) which noted that teachers are no longer the fountain of knowledge but the internet. He noted that students use the internet amongst others for information delivery and gathering.

School buildings, classroom furnitures, equipments etc especially for old structures are largely dilapidated and not well maintained. Teachers are at times owed salary thus getting them demotivated. Teacher to student ratio is quite poor and in a quite a number of instances classrooms are overcrowded.
Power supply is quite poor and largely erratic as such the use of ICT in public school is not prevalent. I must emphasize that students are largely motivated by family, cultural and religious virtue and institutions. There is a high craving for educational pursuit and attainment in my country and as such students are encouraged more by these institutions and not the learning environment. However, it is a completely different ball games when it comes to the private schools, the reverse is the case. The learning environment is well taken care of with classrooms well maintained and concerted efforts made at providing alternative power supply. The use and prevalence of ICT is highly encouraged. Students are highly motivated to put in their best at all times through various schemes ranging from prizes, scholarships, recognition, trips to mention just a
