It's unfair for individuals to have to feed their hard-earned money to undeserving strangers. People put in hard-work and dedication to earn money for their families. When you raise a child, you're raising that child to be independent and support themselves; if you don't then it's harmful to both you and the child. You're teaching the child to depend on someone to provide for them even as an adult, and you're losing your earnings to someone who has the capability to support themselves. The same goes for the homeless: they can work to support themselves, but they're taught that they don't need to. The homeless are taught to rely on other's money that is being given to them instead of earning their own. If we don't aid the homeless, they're being pressured to support themselves.
