The Jews Hardship “The holocaust was the execution of six million Jews.” The holocaust started because the Jews were blamed for the loss of WWI. They would put the Jews in ghettos where they had to do everything in order to live. From there they would transfer them and put them in concentration camps where they would kill or execute the Jews. The holocaust was a dreadful time and place for the Jews. First, from 1933-1945, the Nazis executed six million Jews. They would put them in ghettos; from there they would take them to concentration camps, there they killed Jews and made them live under horrible conditions. The holocaust had started because the Jews were blamed for the defeat of WWI. The Nazis killed Jews from 1933-1945 while WWII was going on. “ During 1938, the night of Kristallnacht, the Germans burned down religious places, and broke the windows in shops.” This quote means they went into ghettos burnt down all worship places where the Jews went to, and broke all the glass. They would get a little bit of food each day. The children snuck in from the gaps in the ghetto walls and took food to keep their family alive. This was a huge risk and some would get severely punished some would even be killed. “Jews would die from illness, starvation, and freezing to death during the winter.” There were schools run by adults secretly in their apartments. The children would hide books underneath their clothes. The Nazis would find out and shut the down the schools. The children would make toys with anything they could find and some took the toys. There were doctors in ghettos, and they would treat the Jews. they couldn’t always could save the Jews because they were so terribly
