How Does Reading Affects The Human Mind

Reading enables a human mind to increase in skill and understanding. While reading, one has to put in effort to understand what a writer is saying. The amount of effort put into understanding the information this person is reading determines how far he stretches his brain’s ability to comprehend. This, in turn, strengthens a person’s thought process and ability to conclude what the information means. If a person doesn’t put in the effort to read every so often, then he can potentially lose some of his comprehension skills just as someone who does not exercise can lose muscle strength. The brain is the greatest muscle a human can have, for the mind can sustain a limitless amount of intellectual development.

Reading supports the liveliness and development of the human mind, so, for someone who is on his way to the workforce, reading may be tremendously beneficial. When someone is hired into a job he has been working for, he wants his comprehension skills to be sharp as possible in order for him to advance as quickly as possible. Maybe, someone’s boss put him in charge of learning how to use an innovative computer program and teaching his co-workers how to use it as well. He wants to be able to do both of these things to the best of his ability, but, to do so, he needs to have solid comprehension skills so he doesn’t teach the workers to use the program wrongly and disappoint his boss. As long as he can use the skills he has learned from interpreting assignments in college to assist him in understanding what the guidelines of the program are in order to proficiently run the program on his own, he will be able to properly teach his co-workers how to use the program as well and prove to his boss he is worthy of such a task. He could possibly gain ground towards an advancement in his work place. Being able to comprehend simple task such as that could help one advance in any career he is
