Education is one of the most important aspects of life we can ever have. It’s the bases to a strong career and a happy and healthy life. This is why it’s valued all across the globe. Education is so important because it provides an abundance of opportunities and benefits that have the potential of really changing your life. For example, having a good job. Having a good job will benefit you with good finance which allows you to have enough money to sustain your family. Another benefit of education is good health. Children who grow up in a household with educated mothers are more likely to be vaccinated and less likely to be stunted from malnourishment (Global Partnership.) Along with responsibility comes time management. With all the different subjects and classes, time management becomes more and more important. Being able to manage your time effectively can help you get tasks done faster. This same thing applies to the workforce. Employers are looking for people who can get work done efficiently and in a timely manner. Make a transition
Over the years education has grown, and been improved, preparing people for the “real world.” The education system has expanded, opening up new schools, colleges, universities and programs. Millions of people enroll into some form of education because they know the benefits of what it can offer. Education has been shown to be a lifesaver for many people in the world as well. In this case Wes Moore. Throughout the book Wes Moore, education played a large role in his life, helping him make ends meet. He grew up in a low income home and it was hard for him to stay on a positive path. Wes was surrounded by, death, drugs, and police and the environment wasn’t influencing education at all. …show more content…
Everyday Wes improved his behavior. Every step he took his back straightened more and more, every word he spoke became clearer and clearer. Wes was becoming more and more of a man. As he began to improve and improve working his way up in the ranks, Wes became a platoon sergeant, a cadet master sergeant and also became the youngest senior noncommissioned officer out of the the entire corps. “Three years ago I’d been one of the insubordinate kids first entering the gates of Valley Forge. In an ironic turn, I was now one of the ones in charge of them” (Moore, 115.) In Valley Forge, Wes had to live by certain standards. “A cadet will not lie, cheat or steal, nor tolerate those that do.” (Moore,115.) Military school definitely has changed Wes’s life. Wes’s was doing so well he earned academic scholarships. As Wes finished his time at the Military school he moved on to Valley Forge’s junior
