Why Is Macbeth Do Such A Thing For Power

In a story written by Shakespeare, he begins to talk about Macbeth, a former general in the army of King Duncan. One day Macbeth encounters three witches that tell him they see him becoming the King of Scotland in his future. Once finding this out, Macbeth couldn 't wait any longer for his thrown. The thought of having all the power to himself drove him insane, he stopped at nothing and began to kill whoever her needed to just to be on top, including King Duncan. Macbeth being the last suspected of such a crime, they crowned him to be king. But this wasn 't enough, he was so deep in love with power, once more people were in line awaiting his throne, Macbeth decided to kill them as well. Leaving no one but him to remain King of Scotland. Why would Macbeth do such a thing for power? Why was he so scared to lose it? Macbeth was willing to do anything just to keep his power and thrown, having no mercy for anyone, not even his son, who was next in line. Simon was always the one there for everyone else and protected them. Especially the littluns. He even made the people around him choose the right path, just like God having a good effect on the people around him as well. In the end of chapter one, Ralph, Jack, and Simon all walk through the island exploring their surroundings. “They found a piglet caught in a curtain of creepers...There came a pause, a hiatus...The pause was only long enough for them to understand what an enormity the downward stroke would be. Then the piglet tore loose” (Golding 31). It is almost as if Jack could not kill the piglet because of Simons presents, he felt guilty and couldn 't bare the thought of what all the blood would look like.
