Bad grammar is not just in high school; one girl refused to capitalize an ‘I’ because “she thought it was funny” (Martin 2). Most teens use a thing called cyber slang. Cyber slang is a term used for when someone makes a word shorter or uses abbreviations to convey thoughts on any electronic devices. Children use abbreviations such as LOL or BFF to text quicker throughout the day so they can send more texts and text more people.
