Essay On The Causes Of Violent Crime

Violent crime has always existed, but it has recently seen an increase of people getting attacked in other counties. Yes, there has been a slight decrease in the United States, but there is an increase of assaults, murders, and robberies in Africa. Governments are spending more to combat this, yet it is doing the opposite. More people are being killed by gang, hate, and drug violence. We should try to increase surveillance, make training better, raising prison time for convicted people, and provide job training to inmates. All of these combined could cause violent crime to decrease throughout the world.

There are many causes of the problem of violent crime. First, hate violence is widespread and increasing. According to Civilrights.org, hate violence has increased against Hispanic people in the United States by 19 incidents. Next, gang violence is also on the rise. More and more people are getting killed by gangs despite efforts from governments to combat this. What can we do to combat this violent crime?

First, people don’t want to be in jail for awhile. This would result in fewer crimes because people don’t like being severely punished. Next, there would be less criminals.
