The bombing of Birmingham today is a marked a historic event over the years. It all started on September 15th 1963. A bomb exploded on a lovely early sunday morning on 16th street Baptist church in Birmingham, Alabama. A predominantly black church that served as a civil rights meeting place. The church was full, about 200 people attended church that Sunday morning. The main floor collapsed due to the dynamite bomb, A Sunday school class was active when the bomb went off. The four girls that died were prepping for the service near the bathroom. King has spoke shortly after ten about this hatred event. After the bombings several acts of violence broke out african americans spoke out and protested. While two were actually killed by police. The four men that were the perpetrators were not convicted until years later. These four men were Thomas Blanton Jr., Robert Chambliss, Bobby Frank Cherry, and Herman Frank Cash all apart of the KKK.
