Essay On The Alchemist

Books are like a time machine and can take you past the stars and beyond. One such book is The Alchemist. The Alchemist is about a young man named Santiago and how he goes on an adventure looking for his destiny. The book has many quotes and some of them I can relate to. The main idea throughout The Alchemist is to enjoy the journey and not just want the treasure in the end.

The first quote is “And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” This is true because if you try to chase your dream you will see the pieces of the puzzle falling into place. It’s like when you find what you think is the love of your life and you go and try to catch up to her and it seems the universe is helping you to walk

It is better to put yourself out there, because then when you feel pain you know you’re alive. And you need to keep going no matter what happens. No matter the outcome you have to deal with what happens so why not just go out and find your destiny. You may get hurt and life may feel like it wants you dead, but all that means is you are alive. Take the lesson life is giving you on your journey to find your destiny, and learn new things that will help you in the future. Your heart may be saying it doesn’t want to suffer, but if you don’t try to go after your love you will live with that regret for the rest of your life. The heart will not want to suffer, but it is better to try and suffer than fearing the suffering.

The Alchemist is a story about a boy and how he goes on a adventure to find his destiny. Some quotes I found support that it is The universe will help you get your goal, but the heart will be afraid and not want to suffer. We need to chase our dreams and no matter what never give up and keep going. Never give up on your dreams and keep searching your destiny no matter

In the novel Of Mice and Men, John Steinbeck writes about the work of reaching goals by describing the actions of various men working on a ranch. Most of the characters in Of Mice and Men admit to dreaming of an alternate lifestyle. In the time of 1930, the poor dreamed of surviving while the more fortunate strived to become respected. Many shared the American Dream defined as owning their own land to live off of instead of the back breaking work at a ranch for minimal wages. I definitely think that the effects came in a circle, at the beginning of the story he learned how to read and write better than he could, and at the end of the story, he lost his ability to read and write. He learned different languages and could read them fluently, and now he can't read any of them. When his intelligence began to deteriorate, he was still smarter than he was in the beginning, but towards the last couple of pages it began to get worse, so yes, he was in the same position as he was before the operation.
