In the studied environment, Vancouver, British Columbia, the Tenebrio molitor experiences changes in temperature year round. These range from daily to seasonal temperature variations. For instance, the beetles experience a seasonal range in temperature varying from lows of -8 degrees Celsius on January to 28.6 degrees Celsius in August (Environment Canada 2016). Tenebrio molitor also experience daily temperature variations ranging from 3 degree differences (such as an average
