The Best Choice for President America’s voting age category of 18-25 has one of the lowest percentages in the presidential election. As the election begins to creep closer, it is important for this age group to become more informed on the current status of our government and political standings. Instead of scrolling through the news feed on Facebook, these people should spend time researching facts about the potential future leaders of America. This country will need a dedicated person who is willing to bring the country out of its’ tragic standing. Current senator of Texas, Ted Cruz, is the best candidate for President of the United States because he is very educated on the matters of the country’s budget and debt, the education of the youth, and he is a man who is a firm believer in the United States Constitution. He has referred to education as “the civil rights issue of the twenty-first century.” He and his wife have two young daughters. As a father, it could be assumed that what he wants for his own children, he would want for the rest of the population. Cruz is highly against Common Core. He believes that the government from Washington D.C. should not be allowed to mandate what is taught in the classrooms across the country. He is all for having a state or locally ran education system. This would allow teachers to destress and be allowed to teach to their students personal needs. Taking away Common Core would not only benefit education, but also promote his plan to reduce debt. Voters in the 18-25 age category need to be aware that Ted Cruz could potentially change the way that college aged students perform in a much more positive

The most recent Presidential election has consumed the national consciousness. With each passing debate, speech, headline, and commercial, we have been flooded with negative messages that are highlighting all that is wrong with our current and perspective political leaders. We seem to have leaders who are devoid of the character necessary to handle the great challenges that face our nation and our world. It would be easy to sit in a state of despair about the future of our country. I, however, find solitude in knowing that we are raising a new generation of young adults in our schools, such as Nathan Lefeld, who can strive of excellence academically, persevere through adversity, find joy in service to others, and work extremely hard to earn…

With that, social media played an important role in the transmission of information and candidates’ core messages. Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump used social media to their advantage, though very differently. This essay argues that the importance of social media in order to transmit political messages is becoming increasingly important, and that Bernie Sanders was able to more effectively utilize social media and to communicate his campaign’s messages through social media than Donald Trump during the primary campaign.…
